Ingredients: Organic Oils of Cacao Seed (Theobroma cacao), Cranberry Seed (Vaccinium macrocarpon), Hemp Seed (Cannabis sativa), Mango Seed (Mangifera indica) & Shea Seed (Butyrospermum parkii), Organic Island Grown Calendula Flower (Calendula officinalis) infused in Organic Oils of Camellia Seed (Camellia sinensis), Evening Primrose (Oenothera biennis), Hemp Seed (Cannabis sativa) & Sunflower (Helianthus annuus), with Organic Essential Oils of Jasmine (Jasminum officinale), Neroli (Citrus aurantium), Rose (Rosa damascena) & Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata)

Traditionally used as a nutrient-dense cream to deeply hydrate and nourish the skin, while grounding and calming the body and nervous system. This remedy offers a protective layer over the skin while moisturizing dry, chapped, and inflamed skin conditions, offering smooth renewal and replenishment. Plant Medicine Details:

The Calendula flowers used in this remedy were handpicked after tending to them in the garden for the spring and summer season on Salt Spring Island. Calendula, also called Herbal Sunshine, is a native European plant that blooms throughout the entire summer, offering a beautiful orange and yellow glow across any garden space. The flowers were first dried and then infused into the oils, through bathing in the sun, followed by a gentle warm water bath to complete the remedy. The Calendula oil was combined with melted butter and left to cool, then whipped with essential oils.

Calendula energetically brings sunshine and light into a person’s life, lifting depression, and soothing the skin and senses. The combination of Calendula with the oils and seed butter in this blend offer skin healing for lacerations, abrasions, burns, stings, bruises, blisters, chickenpox, measles, frostbite, acne (with redness, tenderness, and swelling), diaper rash, rash between the legs in damp hot weather, scars, and chapped dryness (Wood, 2008).

Jasmine essential oil is moisturizing and soothing to dry skin, sensitive skin, and healing for dermatitis. It is an aphrodisiac for frigidity and impotence, and a stimulant to the sexual chakra. Jasmine is also helpful for balancing anxiety, lethargy, menopause, and sadness (Lavabre, 1990).

Neroli is soothing to sensitive skin, as well as calming for hysteria, insomnia, nervous tension, and nervousness. Neroli soothes emotional shock and grief while opening the heart chakra (Lavabre, 1990).

Rose essential oil regenerates cells for aged skin, eczema, sensitive skin, and wrinkles, while moisturizing dry skin. Rose is an aphrodisiac for frigidity and impotence, and opens the heart chakra. This mothering essence is uplifting for emotional shock and grief, as well as depression, nervous tension, and sadness (Lavabre, 1990).

Ylang Ylang is balancing for oily skin, stimulant of the sexual chakra, and aphrodisiac in nature. This plant assists in uplifting depression, stress, and symptoms of menopause, while calming anger, fear, and frustration (Lavabre, 1990).
